Classic fare in a classic diner. Choose from the counter, booths or tables and enjoy simple, tasty and satisfying meals for 1970s prices. Enjoyed a CFS lunch special ($7.95) and BLT with o-rings ($6.95), plus a slice of punkin pie (meh, but they do make their own cakes), and a little nostalgia. Bet there’s still a neighborhood coffee group that gathers every morning to solve the world’s problems.

My husband found this nice diner on Google Maps. We had not looked at any reviews and I normally look new places over before spending my money. My tummy made the decision for us because I was just extremely hungry. Well... well... They actually served turkey burgers. Mine was cooked a little too hard and the fries were very light so we had to order an extra basket to get full. Overall our sever was a nice young lady and we kept her laughing right up to when we left. The customers that dine there are mainly elders and they were quite friendly and had a joke or two for us even. If you like nostalgia then you will enjoy the decor with all the old pictures of celebrities from Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Elvis and much more. Definitely a conversation to be had. By the way they have a great selection of deserts. Huge cakes. I had to take home a slice.

Great old school diner at the edge of the Heights (been in operation since 1923). Family-oriented or good for a quick solo visit. Large menu choices. Great service. If your looking for a solid throwback dining experience check these guys out. Parking is limited, but not a deal breaker.

Food and service is really good and affordable. I love the old school feel. There's an antique shop in the restaurant which is a little odd and I think that antique shop gives off a strange smell in the restaurant.

Came by for a late lunch. Place was really reminiscent of a small family restaurant-kids doing homework in the back vibes. Highly recommend for good eats and priced fairly. Staff was wonderful. The antique store in house was a crazy find. A good Sunday trip.

Had a great meal with our friends. The Yale patty melt on rye was delish! Great old school diner vibes.

Take a walk into the past! This is a great old-fashioned diner, with service that seems like something you might have experienced in the early 60’s! Very friendly and efficient waitstaff. And the cook (or grill master) actually pays attention to special requests. I asked that my hash-browns be cooked “extra crispy” and the cook made them PERFECTLY!

Great place to eat. It’s a vintage place like a trip back in time. This has been a restaurant sine 1923. Part of the building was a pharmacy and then a post office over time and now is an antique store. Great breakfast menu cooked fresh for you. A real diner experience from history w homemade pies and cakes as desert plus ice cream floats. Very reasonable prices and good service. We had big breaks plates and drinks. Our total bill was $22. Minor ding was the biscuits appear to have been frozen over handmade. Lots of locals eat here. A great place to go. Recommended.
